A few kilometers north of Diani Beach lies Tiwi Beach.  Tiwi is generally quieter and more laid back than Diani Beach and is the ideal place for those who like to camp. The experience of sleeping under the stars as the ocean waves crash softly on the beach is incredible, so is the sunrise over the Indian Ocean.  I could write 8,000 words describing the Tiwi Beach Camp but its better to post 8 pictures each worth around 1000 words or so.

Thanks for that. Samnatos blog is totally cool.

Sad I missed the camp, and these are just among the few pictorials I get to see...

There is always next time. I think Tiwi Beach campsite is an excellent place to unplug from everything and enjoy the beach, the sun, the sea undisturbed... and eat lots of fresh fish and prawns.

I'll call it survivor Tiwi. We forgot to pack a few things and the improvisation was laughable. Like spoons for stirring coffee.

Fighting high winds to pitch camps was great ice breaking fun for member of the group who had not met before.

Many people in my group did not bother with tents. We just slept under the stars and enjoyed tracing whatever bits of the constellation we could remember.

The sunrise was the highlight of my camping experience there. Combined with an early morning beach walk, it was a match made in heaven.

Tiwi is fun. Worth going to again and again and again.
