Tucked deep in a tropical forest along the Kenya’s Southern coast is this haven by name Ocean village club. Serenity is the center of focus at this resort with the buildings among exotic trees and coastal vegetation, calming décor in all the rooms and not forgetting the reception that was exquisite by all standards.

Ocean Village Food and Drinks

Located near the swimming pool is the makuti restaurant that is basically a large grass thatched hut the décor is unlike no other with a touch of the modern and traditional. Breakfast here comprises of servings of buns and fresh juice while dinner is buffet dictated by the theme nights. If you are lucky and the weather permeates, dinner is laid out on the lush gardens off course under a sea of stars.
The Sails restaurant specializes in sea food and since it overlooks the Indian Ocean water views, dinners here are memorable events. You can indulge in the ala carte menu and taste some prawns, crabs and Fresh lobster in a candle lit dinner.
The pool bar is the spot for great fruit cocktails, light lunch. The bar also serves pastries which are quite a delicacy. The bar in the T.V room has a rich liquor menu comprising of local and international brands plus amazing cocktails.

A total of 69 rooms housed in 36 bungalows some independent and others sharing the bungalow space. With no T.V which isn’t a bad thing the rooms have the all important air conditioning, the spacious beds are equipped with mosquito nets. The furniture is the very best if not well maintained. However you won’t get a safe in these rooms but you can access one at the reception for a fee. Close to 17 bungalows are equipped with 2 bedrooms, ideal for families of average size, 8 bungalows with 3 rooms for larger families, and 11 bungalows are equipped with double bedrooms.
Amenities include a gift boutique, laundry and dry cleaning services, a conference room that can sit 100 guests.

Total emphasis on the peace and quiet so much so that the activities are planned at times and ways that will not interfere with the other guest’s peace.
Great décor in the rooms and the reception projecting a peaceful ambience.

Internet provisions and a limited activity and entertainment especially in the evening package though the second is forgivable.

Ocean Village Activities

You have the option of lazing by the pool after a cool dip or joining the aqua gym class or playing water polo. Darts and table tennis are available.

This is a truly relaxing getaway fit for the family, a couple or solo holiday.
