Funzi island, a spectacular attraction lying about 70 kilometers from Mombasa and 35 km from Diani is the home to Funzi Keys, a luxurious holiday destination so serene and calm it invokes complete relaxation without much effort. It lies on a stretch of Kenya’s most spectacular marine parks.

Funzi keys, has a total of eight sea view cottages and nine more cottages albeit without direct sea views. However the architecture is influenced by the local Swahili culture with modern touches of stone and thatch assembled to form the marvelous cottages.

The eight sea facing cottages have amenities like verandahs with sun loungers, walk in showers, massive beds with mosquito nets, coffee and tea making facilities in the kitchen with a safe included.

The nine deluxe sea front cottages two of which are designed to cater for families all have; Jacuzzi baths, king size beds with mosquito nets, a beach front area with sun loungers while the family units have adjoining rooms for children with twin beds and en-suite facilities.

The main building at Funzi Keys is the guest relaxation area where you can be served an array of drinks from the bar or sample fresh and sumptuous seafood.

Servings of vegetables and locally grown fruits are specialty in the menu at the upper-level restaurant overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean.

Guests who come to Funzi Keys have relaxation at the top of their mind. You can unwind by the pool to views of dhows drifting by as the local people conduct their fishing. But if you have the willpower, a horde of activities awaits you, including; windsurfing and canoeing a boat trip on the Ramisi River or the Funzi creek where you get up close to crocodiles and dolphins. Scuba diving and deep-sea fishing can also be arranged.
