SAMAWATI BEACH HOUSE

Samawati house is a secluded getaway south of Diani Beach. To get there, cross the Likoni ferry, drive on south as you get away from Mombasa and heading towards Tanzania for about 56 km. At the junction to Msambweni District Hospital you take the left turn onto a 6 km tarmac road. When you get to the hospital, drive through the gate and wind through the village and proceed further on a narrower dirt track along the power lines for another 2 kms till you see the ‘Chelsoon’ sign on the left.

However, you can charter a flight from Moi International Airport to Ukunda airstrip from where you take the road for 24km. The house provides a saloon car and driver for hire which makes moving around less hustling. The driver can also pick you from Ukunda airstrip.

But why go to such lengths in pursuit of a holiday? You only have to get there to discover even in the wild a home away from home experience is possible. Samawati, is secluded with the aim of giving guests total uncompromised privacy while they enjoy the African holiday in their style.

The house is fully furnished with electric fans, refrigerator and a gas oven. Clean towels and bed nets are provided. The décor is modest and as a guest you not only enjoy the privacy but indulge in cooking meals you delight in. Samawati house is a perfect getaway for newly weds.

The house chef can provide services on request but guests are encouraged to cook for themselves. Confirm with management before arrival so that the house servant and cook assist in stocking up the kitchen with fresh products. Fresh fish and fruits will be availed daily.

Activities at the Samawati are somewhat limited but you can cross over to Diani and engage in deep sea diving and fishing, kite surfing, golfing and yoga among other activities that you value.

A doctor is on call for guests. The management has also employed a full time security guard.
