Can you imagine the thrill of playing rugby and the physical engagements players go through right in the middle of Diani Beach? The challenges for a beginner are insurmountable but for anyone who understands the basics and enjoys the game, playing rugby isn’t limited to the traditional pitch and as many have found, Diani Beach is an excellent place to play.

I mean you can do it in your backyard or by the poolside or even by the beach, like the Diani Beach Touch Rugby for instance.

Currently, rugby is a big sport in Kenya and it was soon going to find its way to the beach. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you the Diani Beach Touch Rugby.

The annual event in the second year since inception is marked with a fun packed weekend by the Diani beach, obviously not catering for rugby fanatics only.

During the event that coincides with the start of the high season at Diani beach, the hotels around the venue area are booked to capacity. So if you intend to come to Diani specifically for the event, make sure your timing isn’t inconvenienced by poor hotel accommodations.

Good news however, you can walk to the venue which is by the beach if you are staying at any of the Hotels nearby and still manage to indulge in your holiday as planned.

One thing is for sure, Rugby is not for the faint-hearted but this event will please those deemed to be faint-hearted because there is something for everyone.
